"French State Railways" electric locomotive BB 26000.
New construction 2022!
Version with two-light headlights
Finely detailed model with separately attached plug-in parts
Filigree design of the two different pantographs / As the French railway network is divided into a direct current and an alternating current network,
it was decided to order only dual-system locomotives for newer locomotive purchases. After the BB 22200, which was delivered to the SNCF in 1976 as the first dual-system locomotive in series, the BB 26000 followed in 1988 in a series of 234 units. The name "Sybic" quickly became established for the locomotives, which stands for the terms "synchrone" (stands for synchronous motors) and "bicourant" (stands for dual-system capability). The Sybic locomotives are used in high-quality express train services, in regional services as well as in the freight division "FRET"."
