    ESU 51831 SwitchPilot 3 Plus (8 uitgangen)

    Product description

SwitchPilot 3 Plus decoders are optimised for stationary use on your layout and can switch conventional double-coil point machines, light signals, magnetic uncouplers, light bulbs or other stationary consumers. In order to simplify the rather cumbersome configuration of magnetic decoders, the SwitchPilot 3 Plus has an innovative operating concept consisting of a 4-line, illuminated OLED display as well as three input buttons.

    Operating modes
The SwitchPilot 3 Plus is multi-protocol capable and can be used with Märklin® Mo-torola® system command stations (e.g. 6021, Central Station® or Mobile Station®) as well as DCC-capable command stations. The configuration can take place on the main track as well as on the programming track. Thanks to RailCom®, CVs can also be read out. FunctionalityThe SwitchPilot 3 Plus can be supplied either directly from the digital system or from an external DC or AC voltage source. It has a total of 16 transistor outputs, which are grouped into 8 output pairs 1 to 8. Each output pair contains two outputs (OutA and OutB) and can be individually configured for the desired application: In pulse mode, the output is switched on as soon as a switching command is received. Since the output automatically switches off again as soon as a time stored in the decoder has been reached, magnetic items are prevented from burning out. In momentary operation (K83-compatible) the output remains active as long as the button on the control panel is pressed. This operating mode is suitable for turnout drives with limit switching or for uncoupling tracks. In bistable continuous operation (k84-compatible), the two outputs are switched on and off alternately: When the first button (red) on the control panel is pressed, output Out A is switched on. It remains active until the output Out B of the same output group is activated by pressing the assigned key (green). Out A and Out B behave like a toggle switch. In alternating flasher mode, the outputs Out A and Out B of an output pair are switched on alternately with an adjustable flashing frequency. The alternating flasher is started with the "Straight/Green" command of the assigned button and stopped again with the "Branching/Red" command. Optionally, the output can also be slowly faded up and down (so-called "zoom" for incandescent lamp simulation).

    Setting
The SwitchPilot 3 Plus can be flexibly set either on the programming track with DCC-centrals or on the main track with POM ("Programming on Main") or also read out CVs by means of RailCom®. If desired, it also learns the addresses directly via a programming button. Of course, the easiest way to set up the decoder is with the integrated OLED display and the three input buttons: All (!) settings can be checked directly on the decoder and changed if desired. Programming" with the help of your control unit is not necessary. It really doesn't get any simpler than this. For firmware updates, the ESU LokProgrammer can be used.

    Protection
As with our locomotive decoders, the outputs of the SwitchPilot 3 Plus are also extensively protected against overload. We want you to enjoy your decoder for as long as possible.
